This beautiful lidded bowl was made from a block of Myrtlewood. The knob on the lid was made from ebony. The myrtle wood has remarkable grain pattern with some spalting which adds character to the bowl. It has been finished with Friction polish, a finish which makes it safe for use with food. Wenge is a very dark African hardwood that develops an exceptional sheen when finish is applied. This pair has a very classy appearance. The American made grinding mechanisms are built to last. The grinding mechanism is an American made stainless steel mechanism and is adjustable by varying the tension on the top nut of the peppermill. The finish is food safe and durable.
