This is a beautiful combo. The salt mill is constructed from maple, and the peppermill is constructed from Wenge. Wenge is a very dark African hardwood that develops an exceptional sheen when finish is applied. This pair has a very classy appearance. The American made grinding mechanisms are built to last.
Note that a peppercorn funnel is included with all peppermills.

NOTE: With time and with use the finish on wooden items may become dry. You will know this has occurred when the wooden item looks or feels dry. If this occurs the item can be rubbed with walnut oil or salad oil - if it is to be used with food. If it is a decorative item, an application of a coat of good wax should help. If the wooden item becomes soiled, wipe it with a damp cloth and dry immediately. NEVER put a wooden item in a dishwasher. This would promptly ruin the item.
