These 6 inch wooden plates are all made from Myrtlewood which is from the Myrtle tree that grows on the southern Oregon coast. Each plate will appear different due to differences in grain. Not only are they beautiful but they can be used for food. All have been finished with a mineral oil, bees wax, and carnuba wax finish which not only protects the plate, but also brings out the colors in the wood and renders it safe for food. These plates are sold in sets of 4. This size makes them an ideal size for hors d’oeuvre plates.

NOTE: With time and with use the finish on wooden items may become dry. You will know this has occurred when the wooden item looks or feels dry. If this occurs the item can be rubbed with walnut oil or salad oil - if it is to be used with food. If it is a decorative item, an application of a coat of good wax should help. If the wooden item becomes soiled, wipe it with a damp cloth and dry immediately. NEVER put a wooden item in a dishwasher. This would promptly ruin the item.
