This beautiful bowl was made from a block of Madrone. It has remarkable grain pattern with spalting and 2 defects due to knots which have been filled with a turquoise inlay material which adds character to the bowl. It has been finished with Friction polish, a finish which makes it safe for use with food. This bowl would make a nice serving or small salad bowl, but would also be useful for many things around the home.

The wood species is White Oak and it is a burl which is spalted which adds a striking pattern to the already impressive grain pattern. It is finished with a food safe finish which has been polished to a pleasing lustre. Although primarily decorative, this bowl could be used as a salad bowl or a fruit bowl.
